EDPB Adopts Template Complaint Form and Template Acknowledgement of Receipt

On 20 June 2023, EDPB released a press release that they adopted a template complaint form and template acknowledgement of receipt.

The EDPB approved a template complaint form during its latest plenary session. The purpose of this form is to simplify the process of individuals submitting complaints and for Data Protection Authorities to handle these complaints in cross-border cases.

Additionally, the EDPB has created a template acknowledgement of receipt. This document offers complainants general information about the subsequent procedures after filing a complaint and emphasizes their right to seek an effective judicial remedy in response to a legally binding decision made by a Data Protection Authority (DPA).
