CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) || THE HSK TAKES THE MEASURES ON AFFAIRS OF LAW
The Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecuters (“HSK”) has published the notification regarding the measures to be taken against Coronavirus.
It was stated in the notification that according to the report dated 9 March 2020 by the World Health Organisation (“WHO”), the epidemic disease known as Coronavirus (“Covid-19”) has been recorded in more than 100 countries with confirmed 109.000 cases. The level of the global risk of Coronavirus has been increased from high-risk level to very high- risk level on 02.03.2020 by the WHO. Additionally, “Public Health Emergency of International Concern” has ben declared by the WHO.
Moreover, it was indicated that in the context of the recommendations of the Scientific Institution founded by the Ministry of Health , in order to avoid any problem in the process of affairs of law, the decisions have been taken that all proceedings and viewings shall be suspended excluding proceedings and investigation in respect to arrestee involved and other immediate concerns. Also, in the necessary situation, the courts may accept the use of SEGBIS.
